On the 16th and 17th September at the Museum of Natural History of Calci in the province of Pisa on Via Roma n ° 79 was held the 25th National Congress organized by the AIC ie Associazione Italiana Ciclidofili.
Walter de Proost, Francesco Zezza and Adrian Indermaur spoke to the Congress with 3 very interesting reports that we at Vita di Barriera have filmed for you and that you can find on our You Tube channel.
The Saturday, 16th, begins with the beautiful show of tanks by the industry companies and enthusiasts in the beautiful hall of the museum named ““La terra tra mito e scienza” (The Land Between Myth and Science), also a meeting room and exchange of opinions among enthusiasts.
At 3:30 pm the Walter De Proost’s long-awaited report on African cichlids with years of direct experience on Lake Malawi and Lake Tanganyica, which delighted the audience with the beautiful report “Memories of 50 Years of Malawi Cichlids”.
At 17:00 the turn of Francesco Zezza, another famous passionate in the world of African cichlids and author of many articles on the association’s newsletter, with the beautiful relationship “Impressioni Ivoriane”.
At 20:30 the magnificent congress ends with the Social Dinner of the Association.
On Sunday 17th, the congress resumes at 10:30 am with the assembly of AIC members, where President Livio Leoni illustrates the new executive and the various events scheduled.
At 11:00 it’s time for the beautiful report of the Swiss biologist Adrian Indermaur, about the fishes of the tributaries of Lake Tanganyica, fully exposed in italian language.
At 13:00 everybody at lunch, offered by the museum of natural history of Calci.
At 3 pm Extraction of the Lottery with very high prizes.
Well, What can I say? For us here at Vita di Barriera, this first time in the Cichlids world has been a wonderful experience enriching us with so much positivity which is the heart of everything, in a so fantastic hobby.
